The British Casino Association (BCA) is the trade association for the casino industry in Great Britain, with over 90% of British casino operators as members, who have a combined turnover in excess of £20 billion.

Business Challenge

"The BCA has a key role to act as a powerful voice for its members in negotiations with various government departments, the media and other trade associations," says David Beeton - BCA Director General. "This involves sharing an ever growing number of discussion papers and submissions to legislative bodies with our members, the media and the public. We decided that the most effective way to meet the needs of our members and other interested parties was to ensure that up-to-date information was always available via a new web site."

The Solution

The BCA selected Website-Writers and e-Business Systems Limited to design and implement the new information database web site and link it with the BCA’s head office.

Website-Writers worked with the BCA to design the look and feel of the site, the site navigation and the copywriting. e-Business Systems Limited built the main web site and the information database which feeds the web site from the BCA’s head office.

The result is a web site that can be updated with the latest documents and information at any time by the BCA’s non-technical administrative staff. Documents are simply transferred from Microsoft Word or Excel into the web site’s information database. By entering their passwords, BCA members can gain access to a wider range of information than the general public.
